The auction for the Maharashtra Premier League 2023 season was held in Pune on Tuesday (June 06). A total of six franchisees participated in this auction. Most expensive player in MPL 2023 auction
Maharashtra’s experienced batsman Naushad Shaikh became the most expensive player in this auction. The Kolhapur Tuskers team led by Kedar Jadhav bid as much as six lakhs on him.

In this auction held in Pune, almost all the teams had an eye on Naushad. Initially Eagle Nashik Titans (Eagle Nashik Titans) and Puneri Bappa (Puneri Bappa) bid on him. However, after the bid crossed four lakhs, suddenly Kolhapur entered the competition.

As Nashik withdrew this time, till the end there was a fierce tug-of-war between Kolhapur and Pune to get him in their team. Finally the Kolhapur team made him a part of their team by making the highest bid of 6 lakhs. Interestingly, his bidding started with a base price of 60 thousand.
