Politics in cricket! Congress leader targets BCCI due to Surya’s flop show, Samson gets support

Indian team’s leading batsman Suryakumar Yadav was seen disappointing the fans in the ODI series against Australia. In the three matches of the ODI series, Suryakumar was dismissed for a golden duck i.e. zero runs on the first ball. As a result, Surya is currently on the target of critics in the cricket world. In this way, Suryakumar is also being criticized from political circles. Veteran Congress leader Shashi Tharoor has expressed his opinion on social media about Tharoor.

Suryakumar Yadav (Suryakumar Yadav) could play only three balls in the three ODIs against Australia and could not score a single run. According to Shashi Tharoor, Suryakumar who is in bad form is getting a chance. But Sanju Samson, the talented wicket-keeper batsman for India, is not getting a chance. It would not be wrong to ask that Sanju Samson, who is batting at an average of 66 in ODI cricket, is not getting a chance to bat at number 6. What else is Samson expected to do for this?”

Samson is currently preparing for IPL

Tharoor has directly targeted the team management and BCCI selectors through this tweet. Apart from Tharoor, many fans and experts have expressed their displeasure over Samson not getting a chance. Samson played his last match in January 2023. After that, due to injury, he had to work on the injury for some time at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore. The selectors were also targeted for not giving Samson a chance in the Tests and ODIs against Australia as well. Currently, Samson is preparing for IPL 2023. Under his leadership, Rajasthan Royals have performed tremendously in the last few IPL seasons.

Meanwhile, considering the ODI series between India and Australia, India won the first match by 5 wickets. However, in the second match of the series, India lost by 10 wickets. In the third ODI on Wednesday (March 22), the Indian team lost by 21 runs.
