Proud! ‘This’ Woman Becomes First Indian To Conquer On Field In T20 World Cup; Find out

The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 has been organized in South Africa. The competition has started from February 10. ICC took a historic decision for this tournament. Interestingly, for the first time in the history of cricket, women umpires will be seen in all the matches. The ICC had announced this a few days ago. The names of 10 umpires and 3 match officials have also been announced for the tournament to be held from February 10 to February 26. Interestingly, an Indian woman has set the record.

Vrinda Rathi has become the first Indian woman to become an on-field umpire in the Women’s T20 World Cup 2023. Interestingly, Vrinda acted as the on-field umpire in the second match of the tournament held at Boland Park, Paarl. This match was played between West Indies Women vs England Women.

Indian women’s umpire GS Lakshmi is also included among the 3 match officials appointed by the ICC. Apart from them are South Africa’s Shandre Fritz and Sri Lanka’s Mitchell Perera.

India’s first match
