Pujara passed the milestone in the capital! Gavaskar’s first performance and Virat’s performance last year too

India’s legendary Test batsman Cheteshwar Pujara crossed a milestone in his career on Friday (February 17). Pujara became the 13th Indian batsman to complete 100 Test matches in his career. As soon as Pujara stepped on the field in the white jersey of the Indian team on Friday, the record came to his name. Earlier, Virat Kohli completed his 100 Test matches last year.

Sunil Gavaskar is one of the greatest batsmen of the Indian team and he was the first to cross the 100 test match mark for the team. Gavaskar did this feat in 1984. Then Dilip Vengsarkar completed his own 100 Test matches in 1988 and became the second Indian cricketer to do so. Kapil Dev became the third Indian to achieve this feat in 1989. Sachin Tendulkar’s name comes at number four. Sachin completed his 100 Test matches in 2002.

The save number is by Anil Kumble (2005). After that, currently the head coach of the team is Rahul Dravid (2006), seventh is Sourav Ganguly (2007), eighth is VVS Laxman (2008). Virender Sehwag (2012) is at ninth, spinner Harbhajan Singh (2013) at tenth, Ishant Kishan (2021) at 11th. He became the 12th Indian player to do so after Virat did it last year. On Friday (2023), Cheteshwar Pujara (Cheteshwar Pujara) was newly added to the list at the 13th position.
