Pujara’s big statement before the 100th Test, said, “This is not my dream…”
The second match of the four-match Test series between India and Australia will be played in Delhi. The match will start on Friday (February 17) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. This match is going to be memorable for Indian team’s experienced batsman Cheteshwar Pujara. Because, this will be his 100th Test match. He has given his reaction before this hundredth match.
Pujara will become the 13th Test player to play 100 Test matches for India when he enters the match in Delhi. He emerged as one of India’s leading batsmen during his 13-year career. He will reach a milestone in this big career on Friday. Speaking earlier, he gave his reaction. he said,
“It was my father’s dream that I should play cricket. He has been a great support throughout this journey. They are excited to see me play in my 100th game. They will be present in the field. However, I don’t want to be satisfied just yet. My dream is to win the World Test Championship for India.”
After a brilliant performance for Saurashtra in domestic cricket, he got the chance to make his Test debut for the Indian team in 2010. After the retirement of Indian legend Rahul Dravid, he became known as the new wall of the Indian team. He has so far scored 7021 runs in 99 Test matches at an impressive average of 44.16 in his career. It covers 19 centuries. He was instrumental in both the Test series victories of the Indian team in 2017 and 2021 tour of Australia.
