Rashid showed magic on Wankhede! 10 sixes rained after 4 wickets, made a big record

The match was played between Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Mumbai Indians won by 27 runs on the strength of Suryakumar Yadav’s struggle and penetrating performance from the bowling department. However, Gujarat all-rounder Rashid Khan’s classy performance broke many records.

Mumbai scored 218 runs in 20 overs while batting first in this match. Suryakumar Yadav contributed an unbeaten 103 off just 49 balls. Other than Gujarat’s David Miller, other key batsmen failed completely in chasing these runs. However, Rashid Khan fought till the end. But, he could not prevent the defeat of the team.

Rashid also took the highest 4 wickets while bowling with 30 runs in four overs. Then he showed the best game of his career in batting. Gujarat lost their eighth wicket in 13.2 overs. From there onwards he took Joseph as his companion and fought the fort till the end. He scored a top score of 79 off 32 balls. It included three fours and as many as 10 sixes. Interestingly, he was clearly injured during this innings. However, he continued his game.

So far in IPL history, only two players have managed to score more than 75 runs and four wickets in a single match. Now Rashid Khan was included in this. Before this, Paul Walshty scored 79 runs and four wickets in 2011 while playing for Punjab. Yuvraj Singh contributed 83 runs and four wickets for RCB in 2014.
