Ratnagiri Jets got off to a good start in the Maharashtra Premier League competition, losing to Solapur Titans

Pune. Ratnagiri Jets beat Solapur Royals by 5 wickets on the strength of good bowling by Kunal Thorat (2-16) and moderate batting by Tushar Srivastava (44 runs) in the second match of the Maharashtra Premier League Cricket Tournament on the second day. Getting off to a flying start.

Ratnagiri Jets team won the coin toss and decided to bowl first in the second match on the second day of this tournament which is going on at the stadium of Maharashtra Cricket Association in Gahunje and it was decided by their bowlers as a success. First bowling and then batting, dominated the day. Batting first, Solapur team was 25 not out in 3.3 overs when the opener Yash Nahar (14 runs) was taken to the wicket by Ratnagiri left-arm spinner Kunal Thorat. After Pravin Dishetti (38 not out) and Rishabh Rathod (11 not out) the Solapur team was at 82 for 3 in 12.1 overs when the rain started and play was stopped.

After that, middle order batsman Rishabh Rathod scored 43 runs off 28 balls with the help of 3 fours and 1 six.

In reply to this, Ratnagiri Jets completed the challenge by scoring 147 for 5 in 17.2 overs. Tushar Srivastava scored 44 runs in 38 balls with the help of 3 fours and 2 sixes, while Rohit Patil scored 36 runs in 31 balls with the help of 3 fours and 2 sixes. After both of them were dismissed, Nikhil Naik scored 19 not out, Divyang Hingenekar scored 2 runs not out to give the team victory. Became the man of the match.
