Currently, the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup is being played in South Africa. The Indian team took to the field against Ireland in their final league match on Monday (February 20). Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and elected to bat first. Harmanpreet Kaur holds the record for playing the most T20 matches for India at the international level as soon as she comes to the field for the coin toss.

When Harmanpreet took to the field in this match, she stepped into her 150th T20 International match. In this list, New Zealand’s captain Susie Bates is at the second position with 143 matches. Danny Watt of England is 141 and Alyssa Healy of Australia is at the third and fourth position with 139 matches respectively. While, Australia’s veteran all-rounder Ellyse Perry is in the top five with 137 matches.
Harmanpreet became the first cricketer to play 150 T20 Internationals in both Indian men’s and women’s cricket. Indian men’s team captain Rohit Sharma comes second with 148 matches. Then senior batsman Virat Kohli with 115 and former captain MS Dhoni with 98 occupies the third position. Women’s team vice-captain Smriti Mandhana has also played 115 matches for India so far.
Harmanpreet Kaur has scored 2,993 runs in her T20 career so far. Meanwhile, her average has been 27.97. She is the first Indian woman to score a century in International Women’s T20. Also, the women’s T20 is seen leading India for the second time.
