“Rinku-Rinku on Eden Gardens gives me goosebumps”, Rana-Russell’s heartfelt confession
Kolkata Knight Riders vs Punjab Kings match was played on Monday (May 8) in IPL 2023. KKR won the match which was decided till the last ball. At one time when the match seemed to be out of hand, Andre Russell and Rinku Singh batted stormily to give the team victory. Team captain Nitish Rana and Andre Russell applauded Rinku after finishing the match.

When the team was in trouble, Rinku Singh once again showed his skills and led the team to the winning line. With one run needed off the last ball, he pulled a boundary. He remained unbeaten till the end and scored 21 runs off 10 balls. Speaking after the match after his performance, team captain Nitish Rana said,
“It is a joy to see Rinku Singh’s journey. For years we have heard Russell-Russell on this field. On this same field now, the sound of Rinku-Rinku is heard for the young Rinku. What he has done in the past will probably happen now. But the way he is playing responsibly after that is good.”
Man-of-the-match Russell also praised him in the same way. he said,
“Rinku is a hard working boy. He gets along well with everyone in the dressing room. As Nitish said, indeed, when his name is chanted, thorns stand on the body. He has a lot more to do for this team. I don’t even care when he’s standing here.”
Rinku Singh hit five sixes in the last over against Gujarat Titans to give India a memorable win.
