Rohit becomes destiny on his birthday! A performance that remains in the IPL till date

Mumbai Indians played their 9th match of IPL 2023 season against Rajasthan Royals. Rajasthan scored 212 runs in this 1000th match in IPL history. Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma, who celebrated his birthday on Sunday, had high expectations. However, on this special day, Rohit failed once again.

Rohit became the most capped cricketer for Mumbai Indians as he entered the match at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday (April 30). This was his 190th match for Mumbai. He also appeared in his 150th match as the captain of Mumbai. As it was the 1000th match in IPL history, the match acquired a big ring.

Chasing Rajasthan’s 213 for victory, Mumbai were hoping for a good opening. However, birthday boy captain Rohit Sharma was the only one who failed. In the second over, Sandeep Sharma hit his hat-trick. Rohit could only score three runs off five balls.

This is not the first time that Rohit has failed while playing a match on his birthday. Earlier he played three matches on his birthday. He was dismissed for 17 runs while playing for Deccan Chargers in 2009. In 2014, he was dismissed for one run. Last year too, he could score only two runs against Rajasthan Royals. So it is clear that Rohit is failing on his birthday.
