Rohit should not be called while playing abroad! Gavaskar’s record was also broken by scoring 10th Test century

He was caught off Joshua da Silva by Alik Athanaje off the fourth ball of the 76th over. There was a partnership of 229 runs for the first wicket in the opening overs. It was the first time in Test history that India led the opposition without losing a single wicket.

For the sixth time in Indian Test history, both openers have scored a century in an innings abroad. Murali Vijay and Shikhar Dhawan had previously achieved this feat in 2015. In addition, this match was special for Rohit Sharma. He made a special record by scoring a century this time. Rohit has scored the most centuries while playing outside India with 16 centuries.

In this regard, he has also beaten former Indian batsman Sunil Gavaskar. After Rohit and Gavaskar, the name of Shikhar Dhawan is included in the third place in the list of opening batsmen who have scored most centuries abroad. Dhawan has scored 10 test centuries while opening overseas.
