Rohit-Virat’s address cut! Ravi Shastri named Pandya as T20 captain for ‘this’ reason

Gujarat team is performing well under his leadership this year as well. But the former head coach of the Indian team Ravi Shastri has made a big comment about Pandya. According to Shanstri, Hardik Pandya should be given the captaincy of the Indian team in the future.

Against this background, Shastri has expressed his wish that Hardik should be handed over the captaincy of the Indian team immediately.

I think Hardik will lead well
Speaking to a news media, Shastri said, “Everyone can be eligible to play. But I think Pandya can lead the Indian team very well. Because he is already the captain in charge in T20. He has no fitness problem either. He deserves to be the regular captain of the team.” On this occasion, Shastri further said, “Hardik Pandya is very talented among the young players at present. Many of the players who played in the last T20 match are still in the squad. But, surely there could be some new faces in the team. Because this year’s IPL has seen some new young players.”

There is no harm in introducing a new T20 captain
Shastri further said, “It’s not like Hardik Pandya plays in all three formats. The team gets a month to rest and get fit when the team plays the Test series. When fit, one of the best T20 players in the world would be an understatement.” Meanwhile, this is not the first time when Shastri has chosen Hardik as India’s T20 captain. In November last year too, Shastri had said, “There is no risk in identifying a new captain for T20Is and his name could be Hardik Pandya. Rohit Sharma is the captain of India in all formats (Team India New Captain Of T20 WC).
