‘Roy’ Raj on Chinnaswamy! Hit a storming fifty in the second match in a row, 4 sixes in one over

Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Kolkata Knight Riders match was played in IPL on Wednesday (March 26). KKR got the chance to bat first in the match at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. Seizing this opportunity, both the KKR openers gave the team a big opening. Jason Roy, playing his second match of the season, scored his second fastest half-century in a row.

KKR were invited to bat first as KKR skipper Nitish Rana lost the toss. Experienced Jason Roy and youngster N Jagdeesan grabbed the opportunity. Both opened with 83 runs in 9.2 overs. Roy, who was having his second best of the season, once again presented an aggressive batting pattern.

He completed his half century in just 22 balls. He scored another impressive innings of 56 off 29 balls with the help of four fours and five sixes. He hit as many as four sixes in one over of Shahbaz Ahmed. Interestingly, three sixes were hit in a row. Vijayakumar Vaishak showed him the way to the tent.

Roy was not bought by any team in the IPL auction. However, with Shakib Al Hasan retiring for the season, Roy was given a chance to replace him. He also shone in the previous match against Chennai Super Kings. Batting at number four in that match, he scored a blistering 61 off 25 balls. Interestingly, even at that time he hit three consecutive sixes in one over of Moeen Ali.
