Sachin Tendulkar also recently reiterated his words to change the format of ODI cricket. Sachin said,

“Now the players also seem not to be willing to play as much ODI cricket. I would say that the time has definitely come for ODI cricket to change. This should be considered after the ODI World Cup this year. As I said earlier each team should be given two innings of 25 overs each. This will increase the color of the game. Currently, the reverse swing has reduced as two new balls are delivered in an innings. It also affects the teams.”

Many prominent players have announced their retirement from ODI cricket in recent times. England’s Ben Stokes is a big name among them, some New Zealand players preferred to play franchise cricket over ODI cricket.
