Saha’s reaction came after missing out on the WTC final, saying, “It’s not in my hands”.

Wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan has been given a chance to replace the injured KL Rahul for the World Test Championship 2023 final. Many expressed displeasure at the opportunity he was given with no Test cricket experience. Many expected the experienced Wriddhiman Saha to get a chance. Now Saha himself has given his reaction on this issue.

With KL Rahul getting injured in the middle of the IPL, many people were looking at who would get a chance. Vridhiman Saha’s name comes forward due to his form in Anubhava IPL. However, finally Kishan’s name came up. Commenting on this, Saha said,

“I am playing franchise cricket now. So that’s all I think about. The rest is out of my hands. So I don’t even think about it.”

Saha, who is representing Gujarat in IPL 2023, has scored 273 runs in 11 matches and has been able to consistently give the team a good start. Also as a wicket keeper he has always been right sided.

Saha played his last Test match for the Indian team against New Zealand in 2021. A big storm arose when he was subsequently kicked out of the team. Talking about Saha’s Test career, who is currently 38 years old, he has scored 1353 runs in 40 matches. Meanwhile, his average has been 29.51.
