Salt shaker of Navadati! Even after Virat’s centuries, the Australian legend found weakness, said…
India’s star batsman Virat Kohli played a stormy innings on the fourth day of the fourth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series. India managed to take a big lead due to his innings. In this match, Virat Kohli achieved the feat of scoring a century after 1205 days. The fourth match ended in a draw, but India bagged the series 2-1. While Virat’s century is being praised everywhere, a former Australian cricketer has given a different reaction.
Despite being the top batsman in the world, Virat Kohli had not scored a single half-century in the 15 innings he had played before this series. Because of this, he had to face criticism. However, in the fourth Test, he scored 186 runs off 364 balls. It also included 15 fours. He was awarded the man of the match award for this innings. After his century, he was praised by many. However, former Australian cricketer Mark Waugh said,
“Virat’s drought of centuries is over. Appreciated too. However, I think this was not Virat’s best innings. Because, he took very little risk. He was just attacking the bad ball. Nevertheless, he certainly showed his quality.”
Waugh had also criticized Virat’s fielding earlier in the series.
Virat scored a brilliant century on the fourth day of the Ahmedabad Test match. It was his 28th century in Test career. Virat ended his drought of Test centuries after 3 years, 3 months and 20 days. Earlier, Virat’s last century was in 2019 against Bangladesh.
