So we have to look for people who don’t get tired or who don’t need to adapt IPL to Test cricket.”

“It’s time we reward players who have done well in first-class cricket. Selectors should focus on those players who have the potential to become successful Test players on overseas grounds. I would like to see at least 3 new batsmen and 3 new bowlers.”

“When it comes to batting, they just have to look at the performance of first-class cricket. Not on how many runs they scored. If you look closely at domestic cricket, you will find players batting at number 3, 4 and 5. The defensive game of these players is good. They are hungry for runs and those are the players you want to support,” he added.
