Sanju in BCCI’s World Cup plan! Included in ODI squad against West Indies

The Indian team will tour the West Indies next month. The two-match Test series between the two teams will begin on July 12. After that, a three-match ODI and a five-match T20I series will also be played between these two teams. On Friday (July 23), the Indian team announced the squad for the Test and ODI series against the West Indies. Sanju Samson was able to make a comeback in this team after a long time.

Sanju Samson is one of the few talented batsmen in Indian cricket. His shot selection and style of play have always won him fans. However, he often had to sit out the team despite his quality. The ever-increasing competition to play for India has always been dear to Sanju. Sanju, who made his debut for the Indian team in July 2015, has played only 11 ODIs and 17 T20Is till date. He played his last ODI on 25 November 2022 and his last T20I in January 2023.

However, Sanju has got another chance in the upcoming West Indies tour. The BCCI announced the squad for the Test and ODI series against the West Indies on Friday. After watching both these teams, fans were relieved to read Sanju Samson’s name. India wants to play Asia Cup and ODI World Cup in the coming time. The ODI team selected for the series against West Indies in Ashath is considered as a kind of team for the Asia Cup and ODI World Cup. If the predictions of fans and pundits come true, Samson may play the ODI World Cup for India as well. Meanwhile, fans can watch Samson’s batting from July 17, when the ODI series between the two teams begins.
