Rajasthan Royals Vs. The 37th match of IPL 2023 was played in Chennai Super Kings. In this match played at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur, Rajasthan won by 32 runs. Led by Sanju Samson, Rajasthan pipped four-time IPL trophy winners Chennai from first to third in the points table and claimed the top spot themselves. After this victory, Indian team’s legendary former all-rounder Irfan Pathan praised Sanju Samson. Also, he was called a better captain than Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

After the win against Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan team is at the top of the points table with 10 points after 5 wins and 3 losses from 8 matches. Also, Rajasthan has staked a claim to reach the play-offs. On the other hand, after seeing captain Sanju Samson’s leadership against Chennai, former Indian player Irfan Pathan praised Sanju.

Rajasthan won the toss and decided to bat. This time, Rajasthan scored 202 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs while batting first. This included Yashasvi Jaiswal’s 77 off 43 balls. Apart from him, Dhruv Jurel contributed 34 runs, while Devdutt Padikkal contributed 27 runs not out. Chennai got off to a poor start in chasing Rajasthan’s challenge. In-form opener Devon Conway was dismissed for 8 off 16 balls. After him, Rituraj Gaikwad was dismissed for 47 runs. Also, Shivam Dubey scored 52 runs off 33 balls. However, the team failed in chasing the challenge. Chennai scored only 170 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. So Rajasthan managed to win this match by 32 runs. Jaiswal won the man of the match award for his performance in this match.
