A shocking news is coming out about the great player of Indian team Sachin Tendulkar. The practice of promoting medical products using Sachin’s name, photo and voice without his permission came to light. An officer said on Friday (May 12) that the Mumbai Police has registered a case against an unknown person.
An aide of Sachin Tendulkar filed a complaint in this regard at the Western Zone Cyber Police Station on Thursday (May 11), he said. The complaint stated that he saw online advertisements of a pharmaceutical company, which claimed that Sachin had endorsed its product.
In this he also found the website sachinhealth.in. These products were advertised using Sachin’s photo.
Sachin Tendulkar had not given permission to the company to use his name and photo. He directed his aide to take legal action as it tarnished his image, the complaint said.
An FIR has been registered against unidentified persons under sections 420 (cheating), 465 (forgery) and 500 (defamation) of the Indian Penal Code besides the Information Technology Act.
