Shubman’s crack at Narendra Modi Stadium! Be it international cricket or IPL, it is raining runs

Gujarat Titans vs Lucknow Super Giants match was played in IPL 2023 on Sunday (May 7). Lucknow Supergiants lost by 56 runs to the host Gujarat Titans in this match. Both their openers Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha played a major role in Gujarat’s victory. Although Shubman Gill missed out on a century, his performance at the Narendra Modi Stadium has been consistent.

Shubman Gill gave the team a fast start in this match against Lucknow. With Gill, he scored 142 runs in 12.1 overs for the first wicket. Gill remained unbeaten till the end and hit 94 runs off 51 balls with the help of 2 fours and 7 sixes. His form throughout the season so far reflects this. He has scored 469 runs in 11 matches and has consistently been successful in giving the team a good start.

Gill has been seen literally raining runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad in the year 2023. His bat has done well in international cricket and IPL. He scored 124 runs in the Test played against Australia. So, he scored 126 not out in T20 against New Zealand.

This form was also seen in the IPL this year while playing at home. He has scored 63, 39, 45, 56, 6 and 94 not out respectively at the Narendra Modi Stadium this season. With two more matches to play at home, Gujarat will look to do the same. Also, as the final match of IPL 2023 will be held at this ground, Gujarat will have a chance to win the IPL title for the second time in a row.
