Sindhu-Saurabh brilliant performance in Duleep Trophy semi-finals, Central and North Division with resounding wins

In the first and second quarter-final matches played in the Duleep Trophy tournament, the Central and North Divisions won respectively. North Division defeated Northeast Division by 511 runs, while Central Division defeated East Division by 170 runs. Central division’s Saurabh Kumar, who took a total of 11 wickets in this match, became the man of the match. He took 8 wickets in the fourth innings of the match. In the second match, Nishant Sindhu of Northern Division who scored 150 runs in the first innings was awarded the man of the match title.

Central Division vs Eastern Division

In the first quarter-final, Central won the match easily by 170 runs on the fourth day. Saurabh Kumar contributed significantly to the Central Division victory. On the fourth day, Saurabh Kumar took 8 wickets from the Central division. Avesh Khan and Shivam Mavi took 1-1 wickets. East Division started the third day with a score of 69 for 6. But they were bowled out for 129 runs. Central Division won this match and booked their place in the semi-finals. where they will face the West Division.

North East vs North Division

On the fourth day of the match, North East Division needed 608 runs to win. But North Division bowled out North East for 154 runs. With this, the match was won by 511 runs. Paljor Tamang top scored for North East with 40 runs. Pulkit Narang took 4 wickets, Nishant Sindhu 2 wickets and Baltej Singh, Harshit Rana and captain Jayant Yadav 1 each. With this victory, the North Division has secured their place in the semi-finals, where they will face the South Division at the Chinnaswamy ground in the semi-finals.
