Skipper Smriti Mandhana gets tired after losing against Mumbai Indians; Said, ‘…our team is bad’

The Women’s Premier League 2023 competition is drawing to a close. The second-to-last match of the league round of the tournament was played between Royal Challengers Bangalore Women vs Mumbai Indians Women on Tuesday (March 21). The Mumbai team led by Harmanpreet Kaur won this match by 4 wickets. After this win, Mumbai went straight to the top of the points table. However, captain Smriti Mandhana was disappointed after the defeat. This time she stated that it cannot be said that the team is bad.

RCB captain Smriti Mandhana looked very disappointed after the defeat by Mumbai Indians. She said, “We gave a good effort in this match. However, the victory could not be achieved. We didn’t put up a good score. Our team is fantastic. The balance of the team is good. We cannot say that our team is bad. The players in our team are fantastic. Our team’s first 4 to 5 matches have been very disappointing, which has taken its toll on us.”

RCB’s performance in the tournament
RCB team played a total of 8 matches in the tournament. They managed to win only 2 of these matches. However, in the remaining 6 matches, they faced a flat defeat. These defeats left them at the bottom of the points table.

Smriti Mandhana could not perform particularly as a captain in this tournament. Also, she couldn’t hit the mark with the bat either. In the last league match, Smriti was dismissed for 24 runs off just 25 balls with the help of 1 six and 3 fours.
