Currently, the final match of the World Test Championship is being played between India and Australia. The match is being played at the Ohl ground in London and Australia seems to have dominated the first two days. After this match, the Australia team will play a five-match Ashes Test series against England from June 16. Ahead of this prestigious series, Australia’s leading batsman Steve Smith has made a big statement.

Smith once again proved his quality in the final of the World Test Championship. He scored a brilliant century in Australia’s first innings. Because of this, Australia team could build a big score. The Australian team will be expecting the same from him in the upcoming Ashes series as well. Talking about this series, he said,

“When the England team is playing there is always talk of baseball cricket. In this, the England team emphasizes on playing aggressive cricket. However, it remains to be seen if they maintain the same strategy against us on such pitches. While they have had success playing like that against other teams, they haven’t shown that kind of game against our bowling.”

The five-match series between the two teams will begin from June 16. The first match of the series will be played at Edgbaston. Australia had defeated England in the previous Ashes series. England team will try to win at home this time.
