Suryakumar Yadav has always been making waves in the IPL. But on Friday (May 12), Suryakumar Yadav scored his maiden IPL century. Suryakumar completed his century in just 49 balls while playing for Mumbai in the match against Gujarat Titans. He scored an unbeaten 103 with the help of 11 fours and 6 sixes. The last ball of the innings was special for Suryakumar.
Mumbai Indians scored 218 for 5 in 20 overs on the strength of Suryakumar Yadav’s explosive innings. Apart from Suryakumar, opener Ishan Kishan scored 31 runs and Vishnu Vinod scored 30 runs. Captain Rohit Sharma looked in good form initially. But Rohit also lost his wicket after scoring 29 runs off 18 balls. Suryakumar hit a six off the last ball of Mumbai’s innings to complete his century. This six was hit by Suryakumar towards backward scare leg. After the sixes, there was a lot of excitement among the fans and even Surya’s face was clearly happy.

Suryakumar became hero in this match for Mumbai. While batting first, all-rounder Rashid Khan gave a tremendous performance for Gujarat. Rashid took the most four wickets with 30 runs in his four overs. Skipper Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Nehal Wadella and team David were caught in Rashid’s spin net. Vadra and David lost wickets for 15 and 5 respectively. Mohit Sharma dismissed Vishnu Vinod for Gujarat. Vishnu entered the field as an impact player. After Mumbai Indians came to bowl, spinners Piyush Chawla, Kumar Kartiek and Akash Madhwal bowled tremendously. In the 14th over, Gujarat scored 103 runs and lost 8 wickets.
