Team India eager to make a winning start in the T20 World Cup, challenge Pakistan in the first match

Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 It started in Cape Town on Friday (February 10). The third match of the tournament will be played between India Women vs Pakistan Women. The match will be played on February 12. Both the teams will start their World Cup campaign with this match. Both the teams will try to win this match which is important for further progress in the competition. However, all eyes are on which Indian team Harmanpreet Kaur will field in this match.

A few days ago, India’s U-19 women’s team won the T20 World Cup with a historic performance. Even the senior women’s team will try to repeat the same feat. Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the team in the T20 World Cup for the second time in a row. The Indian team has reached the final round of the 2020 T20 World Cup. However, hosts Australia defeated India in the final.

In this first match, the Indian team will miss regular vice-captain Smriti Mandhana. She will not be able to participate in the first match due to a finger injury. Therefore, opener Shafali Verma, captain Harmanpreet Kaur and Richa Ghosh will have additional responsibility in the batting department. All-rounders Dipti Sharma and Radha Yadav will handle the spin. Experienced Shikha Pandey and youngster Renuka Thakur will carry the burden of fast bowling. The Indian team has been placed in the second group along with Pakistan, England, West Indies and Ireland in the World Cup. The match against Pakistan will start at 6.30 pm on February 12.
