The Asia Cup is finally over! India-Pakistan ‘Grand Match’ will be held at ‘this’ place

For the past several days, there seems to be a dispute between the PCB and the Board of Control for Cricket in India i.e. BCCI. After the Indian team refused to come to Pakistan for the Asia Cup, Pakistan threatened to boycott the World Cup. However, now it seems that the curtain is falling on this whole matter. According to media reports, now Pakistan and Sri Lanka are going to host this tournament.

Pakistan was going to host this tournament as per the schedule. However, the Indian team refused to go to Pakistan due to political permission and security reasons. The BCCI had demanded that the tournament be held in the UAE. Pakistan rejected it. Pakistan then suggested a hybrid model of hosting the tournament in the UAE and Pakistan. Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka opposed it.

After all this, it is said that the Asian Cricket Council has proposed to play nine matches of this tournament in Sri Lanka and four matches in Pakistan. Also all teams agree on this proposal.

According to this proposal, Pakistan vs Nepal, Bangladesh vs Afghanistan, Afghanistan vs Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh will be played in Pakistan. Nine matches including the final will be played in Sri Lanka. The match between India and Pakistan is likely to be played at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

After that, the Pakistan team will come to India to participate in the ODI World Cup to be held in the month of October-November. Also, there is a high possibility that the match between India and Pakistan in the World Cup will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
