Scott Boland is a right-arm medium pace bowler. He has taken 1 wicket in India’s first innings till the end of the second day’s play in the WTC final. He showed Shubman Gill the way to the tent by dismissing Shubman Gill in Triphala when the team’s score was 30.

Boland has played 7 Test matches so far before WTC. During this time he has taken 28 wickets. He had earlier played a Test match against India in Nagpur in February. However, he could not take a single wicket in both the matches played against India so far. Boland replaces Josh Hazlewood in the squad.
