Indian team’s opening batsman Prithvi Shaw has been out of the Indian team for a long time. However, there have been reports that he will be playing for an overseas team. A person close to Prithvi told the media on the condition of confidentiality, “Yes, Prithvi will leave the West Zone team after playing in the Duleep Trophy. If all goes well, he is expected to play against Somerset between July 19 and 22.”

If Prithvi goes to Britain, he will not be able to play in the Deodhar Trophy inter-regional ODI tournament starting July 24. However, hopefully, the BCCI officials will allow him to play in Britain. There he will face a better bowling attack than India. If a player is not playing for the national team and gets a contract from county cricket, the BCCI normally gives him a No Objection Certificate (NOC).

Shaw’s case went to Bombay High Court
About four months ago, Prithvi Shaw had an argument with a girl named Sapna Gill. In fact, on February 15, Prithvi went to a five-star hotel in Santa Cruz for dinner with his friends. Meanwhile, Sapna Gill and one of her friends asked Prithvi for a selfie.

However, Prithvi refused to take a selfie saying that he had come for dinner with friends. This led to an argument between them and the matter escalated into a brawl. After this, Sapna was arrested by the police after a complaint was lodged by Prithvi’s friend. However, she was released on bail. However, the Bombay High Court acquitted Prithvi Shaw.

Talking about the career of Prithvi Shaw, he has played 5 Tests, 6 ODIs and 1 International T20 for the Indian team. He has scored 339 runs at an average of 42.38 in five Test matches. While making these runs, he has also scored 1 century. Additionally, he has scored 189 runs in ODIs. On the other hand, he could not score a single run in T20Is. He played his last Test match for the Indian team in December 2020. Also, he was last seen playing limited overs cricket in July 2021.
