Indian veteran spinner R Ashwin is the top player among the players active in Test cricket who have taken five wickets the most times. He has done this feat 31 times so far. He is followed by Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan at the third position. He has completed the five-wicket haul 19 times in Tests.
