The four pillars of Puneri Bappa’s journey to the ‘Play Offs’ have maintained tremendous consistency in performance

The play off matches of the Maharashtra Premier League i.e. MPL 2023 organized by the Maharashtra Cricket Association will begin on Monday (June 26). After the completion of 15 league matches, the four teams who will play the play offs have been determined and the following matches will be played between these teams. The eliminator match will be played between Puneri Bappa and Eagle Nashik Titans, who were once considered title contenders.

The losing team in the eliminator match will end their challenge in the tournament. So the winning team will have to get one more win to enter the finals. Let us find out who contributed to the play offs journey of the Puneri Bappa team under the leadership of Maharashtra captain Rituraj Gaikwad.

Piyush Salvi- Young Piyush Salvi is considered as the main fast bowler of Puneri Bappa team. He managed to get 10 wickets in five matches played in the league. He is currently the highest wicket-taker in the tournament thanks to his pace, control and slower ball. He will have to repeat this performance if the team is to win against Nashik in the eliminator match.

Rituraj Gaikwad- Puneri Bappa’s captain Rituraj Gaikwad will once again expect a strong performance from the team. Rituraj has scored the most runs for his team in the league round. He succeeded in scoring half-centuries in the first and third matches. He has scored 168 runs from his bat in four matches.

Pawan Shah- Puneri Bappa’s opener Pawan Shah was seen hitting aggressively from the first match of the tournament. He grabbed everyone’s attention while striking artistically as well as powerfully. He has two consecutive half-centuries in the tournament. With 155 runs in five matches, he appears fourth in the list of highest run-scorers in the tournament.

Sachin Bhosle-Piyush Salvi along with Sachin Bhosle as a fast bowler got a special pair. Both put opposition teams under pressure while handling the new ball. A left-arm fast bowler, Sachin Tendulkar is second in the list of highest wicket takers with 9 wickets.
