Determining Bangladesh’s decision as wrong, the Afghanistan team batted first and scored 331 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs. The 256-run partnership of openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran was the lion’s share of these runs. Due to this great partnership, a special record was registered in his name.

Apart from him, Ibrahim Jadran also celebrated his century by scoring 100 runs off 119 balls. He hit 1 six and 9 fours during his century. On the strength of these two centuries, the Afghanistan team managed to build the highest score in the history of ODI cricket.
