Qualifier matches for ICC ODI World Cup 2023 are currently being played in Zimbabwe. Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe, who reached the Super Six round, played on Sunday (July 2). Sri Lanka won by 9 wickets in this match. With this, they confirmed their entry in the upcoming ODI World Cup as Qualifier One. After that, the schedule of Sri Lanka’s matches in the World Cup has also come out.

The ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 schedule has been announced on June 27. After the qualifying round, the final form of that schedule will come out. However, Sri Lanka won all their matches in the qualifiers and secured their right to the qualifier one spot. So now it has been decided where the Sri Lankan team will play.

After Dasun Shanaka-led Sri Lanka secured their place as Qualifier One, they will now play their first match of the tournament against Pakistan on October 6, the next day. This match will be played at Hyderabad. Then they will play against New Zealand on October 9 at the same ground. They will then play West Indies in Dharamsala on October 17 and another qualifier in Lucknow on October 21.

Their next match will be played against Australia in Delhi on October 25. They will then face Bangladesh in Kolkata on October 28. So, they will face Afghanistan on November 3 in Lucknow. They will then be seen playing against England in Pune on November 8. So their last league match will be on November 11 against India at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Interestingly, the final match of the 2011 ODI World Cup was also played between the two teams at the same Wankhede Stadium. Indian team won in this.
