Indian team’s experienced batsman Ambati Rayudu is currently the topic of discussion. Because, he has revealed the BCCI’s shocking secret behind the injustice meted out to him during the World Cup 2019. Rayudu has made sensational allegations against the BCCI and the selectors of the Indian team. He said that he was upset because Vijay Shankar was given a chance in his place. The then selection committee chairman MSK Prasad has now responded to his reactions.
Ambati Rayudu made a shocking revelation while talking to the media. He said, “In 2018, the BCCI officials asked me to be ready for the 2019 World Cup. However, suddenly, not another batsman, but an all-rounder, Vijay Shankar, was chosen to bat at number four in my place. If the selectors had replaced me with an experienced and superior player like Ajinkya Rahane in the 2019 World Cup, it would have been understandable.”
Along with this, he accused Prasad of bias. Now talking about this, Prasad said,
“We all know that the selection committee consists of five people. No one person makes such a decision. It was a collective decision. What is the use of a committee of five if one person is ruling arbitrarily?”
Rayudu announced his hasty retirement due to not getting a chance in the Indian team. However, he withdrew his retirement after a few days. But even after that he did not get a place in the Indian team. He has decided to retire from Indian cricket after the recent IPL and will now be seen playing Major League Cricket in America.
