The story of Parvez Rasool, the first international cricketer of Jammu and Kashmir, was accused of theft

Jammu and Kashmir’s experienced all-rounder Parvez Rasool is one of those players who got very few opportunities to play in international matches. He was born at Bijbehra in Anantnag district. Rasul became the first cricketer from Kashmir to play for India. He celebrates his 34th birthday on Monday. He was embroiled in controversy a few years ago. Rasul accused of theft
In the year 2021, Rasul was accused of roller theft. Then the Jammu and Kashmir Association threatened to take police action against him. But Parvez Rasool expressed his feeling that ‘I did not steal the roller but it is very unfortunate that I am accused of this’. The Indian all-rounder was fed up and requested help from the BCCI in this matter. Then the Prophet said, ‘Now I am forced to think about his future’. A notice was also sent to Rasool in this regard. JKCA had said that Rasool’s name was in the register.

The career of Parvez Rasul
Parvez Rasul performed well in the Ranji Trophy in 2012-2013. Interestingly, he was the bowler who took the most wickets in the tournament. He also scored 2 centuries. This helped him earn a place in the Indian team the following year.

Parvez Rasool’s cricketing journey
Parvez Rasool is the first cricketer from Kashmir to play for India. Parvez Rasool made his ODI debut against Bangladesh in 2014. Suresh Raina was the captain at that time. Parvez Rasool was part of the Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore team in the IPL which he joined in 2016. Before that he was with the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise. He also got a chance to debut against England in 2017. He has played only two matches for India. Similarly, he got an opportunity to play 11 matches in the Indian Premier League.

Rasool got an opportunity to make his T20 international debut in 2017. Rasool has taken 2 wickets in one ODI and one wicket in one T20I. A right-arm off-break bowler, Rasool has scored 13 centuries and 20 half-centuries in first-class cricket. He has 5023 runs in first class cricket.
