Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders will face each other in the 22nd match of IPL 2023. Both the teams will face each other at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday (April 16). The Mumbai Indians franchise has decided to make this match an attention-grabbing one, and it will be seen that women’s power has been awakened in this match. After losing the first two matches, Mumbai opened their points account by defeating Delhi in the third match. After that, Mumbai Indians will show their support for the campaign ‘Women in Sports’ in this match which will be played at home ground. Nita Ambani while giving information about this campaign said,

“Like every year, this year also we are trying to increase women’s empowerment and participation of girls in sports. This time we are inviting thousands of girls to the stadium. At the same time, the players of our Mumbai Indians team participating in the WPL will wear the jersey in the match against KKR. Along with this, Mumbai Indians captain Harmanpreet Kaur will be standing on the field with Rohit Sharma during the coin toss.” Mumbai Indians beat Delhi Capitals to win the inaugural Women’s Premier League last month.

Mumbai Indians were defeated by Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings in their first two matches. However, in the match against Delhi, Mumbai won on the last ball.
