Jasprit Bumrah, the veteran fast bowler of the Indian cricket team, has not played any form of cricket for a long time. He will now also miss the upcoming IPL after a back surgery. Also, the comeback may have to wait till around September. However, information is coming out that only two people are allowed to get updates about his condition.

Bumrah was in talks to make a comeback from the IPL starting at the end of March. However, Bumrah’s comeback has been delayed after the surgery he underwent in New Zealand. Due to this reason, he will not play in the finals of the IPL and then the World Test Championship. There is no information available whether he will appear in the Asia Cup scheduled to be held in August.

According to a report in a leading news agency, only National Cricket Academy Director VVS Laxman and the team physio are allowed to monitor or inquire about Bumrah’s overall condition. Not only this, the selection committee is also not informed about this. Therefore, only Laxman can answer when Bumrah is in front of the media.

Bumrah was unable to play the important tournaments like Asia Cup and T20 World Cup due to back injury. He then missed the Border-Gavaskar Trophy four-match Test series against Australia as well as the ODI series. Bumrah is a very important player for the Indian team in terms of the World Cup. ODI World Cup will be played in October-November this year in India. He will lead the Indian fast bowling in this World Cup.
