‘This’ mistake made while playing against Dhoni cost Samson dearly! Big action from IPL

Chennai Super Kings lost by 3 runs to Rajasthan Royals at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. What was MS Dhoni’s hopes of winning until the last ball? But Sandeep Sharma made Rajasthan win by bowling. This last ball victory is special for Rajasthan. But their captain Sanju Sasman had to face the big action of IPL.

MS Dhoni and Sanju Samson were leading their respective teams in this match. Both played their roles as captains well. CSK needed 5 runs off the last ball to win. Even if Dhoni on strike had hit a boundary, it would have been a super over. But Sandeep Sharma bowled a perfect yorker off the last ball, which even Dhoni couldn’t play. CSK got just one run off this ball and lost by 3 runs.

This victory was definitely special for Sandeep Sharma and Rajasthan Royals. But captain Sanju Samsons had to pay a fine of 12 lakhs. This action was taken by IPL on Sanju Samson due to not being able to maintain the pace of the overs. The IPL took this step as the match went longer than the allotted time. The IPL said, “Rajasthan Royals have been penalized for not maintaining the pace of the overs against Chennai Super Kings on Wednesday. For the first time in the season, the pace of overs has not been maintained by the team. So only captain Sanju Samson has been fined Rs 12 lakh.”

Rajasthan Royals are the second team in IPL 2023, who have not been able to maintain their overs pace. Earlier Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Faf du Plessis has also been fined Rs 12 lakh. RSAB did not maintain the pace of the overs in the match against Lucknow Super Giants. If RCB fails to maintain the pace of the overs for the second time this season, the team players including skipper Samson may also be fined.

Meanwhile, considering the overall score of this match between CSK and Rajasthan, Rajasthan scored 175 for 8 while batting first. In reply, CSK managed to reach 172 for 6 in 20 overs. (Sanju Samson has been fined Rs 12 lakh by IPL)
