Former England captain Michael Vaughan has once again commented on the Indian team and is in the news. The upcoming ODI World Cup is going to be played in India and Vaughan has made predictions about this World Cup. According to Vaughan, the Indian team is a contender to win the World Cup, but it needs to be more aggressive.
In an interview, Michael Vaughan said, “Actually, you said India was a strong contender to win the World Cup. Because this time the World Cup will be held in Barat. But they should be more aggressive in batting. Indian team is showing aggression in bowling. This is not happening in batting. This is a big question facing Sankha. He has shown an aggressive approach in recent times. The team should continue to perform like this.”
The former England captain added, “Indian team has good quality. They have good players, but the Indian team has not become the white ball champions for the past several years. I think a lot depends on how the Indian team handles the pressure in front of our own people at home this year.” Although the Indian team is a contender to win the World Cup, Vaughan has claimed the England team to win the World Cup.
Vaughan lays claim to England to win the World Cup –
“The England team has some good options. They have good players, who can spin the ball well. They have fast bowlers, who bring knee-jerk timing on the opposition batsmen. Jofra Archer’s return to the team is a big deal. Also Mark Wood is bowling at 90 mph. So I think England has the experience and the team can win the World Cup. They will only be threatened by India,” Vaughn added.
