Delhi Capitals became the first team to exit IPL 2023. Delhi suffered their eighth defeat of the season against Punjab Kings on Saturday (May 13). Delhi lost at home by 31 runs. Prabhasimran Singh and Harpreet Brar were the match winners for Punjab in the bowling department. Kardhanar Shikhar Dhawan praised the team players after winning the match.

After the match, Shikhar Dhawan said, “The way the bowlers made the team come back in this match was commendable. The performance of the spinners in particular was amazing. The ball started turning from the fourth over of the innings. But still Prabhsimran Singh scored a century. It was because of his innings that we were able to reach a good score.”

Harpreet Brar (Harpreet Brar) took four wickets in this match by spending 30 runs in 4 overs. It was Harpreet’s performance that kept Delhi Capitals at the set score. Regarding this, Dhawan said, “I told Harpreet, the pitch is slow, the ball is turning. If we can get wickets, we can come back in the match. In reply, Delhi Capitals could only manage 136 for 8 in 20 overs. Prabhasimran Singh completed his century in 61 balls. He played a total of 65 balls and lost a wicket for 103 runs. On the other hand, for Delhi, captain David Warner could score the highest 54 runs in 27 balls.
