Two Indians clash over KL Rahul; One says, ‘It’s inappropriate to talk like that while the match is going on’.

In the second test match, the Indian team defeated Australia by 6 wickets. With this win, the Indian team has taken a 2-0 lead in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test series. In this match which was played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, the Indian team had to overcome the challenge of 115 runs to win. India met this challenge before the tea break on the third day and pocketed the second match of the series. Despite India’s victory, KL Rahul’s form has become a concern for India at present. Rahul scored only 18 runs in both innings of the second Test match. Before that, even in the Nagpur Test, Rahul could not perform well. Meanwhile, two veterans of the Indian team have clashed with each other over Rahul.

Former fast bowler Venkatesh Prasad (Venkatesh Prasad) tweeted one after the other on February 18. In it he wrote, “More poor form continues. Playing with a player in poor form shows a lack of team management. In at least 20 years of Indian cricket, no top order batsman has played so many Tests with such a low average.”

Speaking further, he said in a tweet, “Talented players are not getting a chance to join the playing eleven. Shikhar’s Test average was over 40, Mayank’s was over 41, including 2 double centuries. Shubman Gill is in superb form. Sarfraz too is facing a never-ending wait. So many home matches have been overlooked.”

“Having him in the team shakes the faith in justice. SS Das and Sadagopan Ramesh had a lot of potential. So their average was more than 38. However, he could not play more than 23 Test matches. Rahul’s consistent performances make it seem that India lacks talent among batsmen, which is not true. He has averaged less than 27 in 47 innings in the last 5 years,” he added.

“According to me, he is not among the 10 best opening batsmen in India right now. However, he is constantly being given opportunities. A player like Kuldeep Yadav had a man-of-the-match performance and was dropped from the very next match. “Rahul is by no means an ace,” he added.

Answer by Akash Chopra
Akash Chopra then responded to Venkatesh Prasad on his YouTube channel. He said, “As KL Rahul gets out cheaply, he starts trending on Twitter. Everyone wants to have an opinion and criticize him. I think Venkatesh Prasad’s tweet has added fuel to the fire. He is a former player and he should know that you should not criticize your own player in an ongoing match with an innings to spare. After the game you can definitely talk about any player and give your opinion.”

Akash Chopra also replied to one of Venkatesh’s tweets and said, “Venki Bhai, the Test match is on. How about waiting for at least two innings to end. We all belong to one team i.e. India. Not asking you to take back your thoughts, but time may be better. After all, our game is all about timing.”

Prasad then replied to Akash Chopra, writing, “Honestly it doesn’t matter, Akash. According to me, this is a very fair criticism so why didn’t he score a half century in the second innings. It is inappropriate during or after a match. Best wishes for your good videos on YouTube. I enjoy them.”

KL Rahul Stats
