VIDEO. Alice Perry’s heartbreak! Huckle scored a century after falling one run short in the most important match of his career

Prior to Perry, two women’s players from the Australian team and one from England were dismissed for 99 runs in Test cricket. England’s Betty Snowball is the first woman player not to score a century in Test cricket, falling just one run short. In 1937, she lost her wicket against Australia for 99 runs. Then Australia’s Jill Kenare in 1984 and Jess Johnson in 2015 were dismissed on individual knocks of 99 runs.

This match is historic for Alice Perry, who made his Test debut for Australia in 2008. Perry became the first woman player to play 10 Ashes series. Overall view of the match Australia won the toss and elected to bat first. Perry was well supported by Tahlia McGrath. McGrath hit 61 off 83 balls and shared a 119-run partnership with Perry for the third wicket. On the other hand, Sophia Eccleston took 3 wickets and Lauren Filer took 2 wickets for England.
