Had RCB defeated Gujarat in the last league match, RCB would have become the fourth team to reach the play-offs based on a better net run rate despite having 16 points as Mumbai. However, Virat Kohli’s second consecutive century did not work for the team. Also, on the strength of Gill’s century, Gujarat bagged the match by 6 wickets. After the league round, Gujarat topped the points table with 20 points. Mumbai had defeated Hyderabad in the last match. Cameron Green also celebrated a century from Mumbai.
