Royal Challengers Bangalore played their 12th match of IPL 2023 against Kolkata Knight Riders. RCB inflicted a crushing defeat on KKR by 112 runs in the 60th match of IPL 2023 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Sunday (May 14). After this victory, Virat Kohli expressed his unfulfilled wish. “If I had bowled, it would have been all out by 40 runs,” he said at the time.

In this match played in Rajasthan vs Bangalore, Bangalore scored 171 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs while batting first. Chasing this challenge, the innings of the Rajasthan team ended on 59 runs in just 10.3 overs. This was the second lowest score by the inaugural IPL champions Rajasthan. RCB bowlers were in good rhythm in this match. Wayne Parnell, the fast bowler from the team, took only 10 runs in 3 overs and took the most 3 wickets to his credit. Apart from him, Michael Bracewell and Karn Sharma also took 2 wickets each. Bracewell spent 16 runs in 3 overs, while Karn spent 19 runs in 1.3 overs. Also, star bowler Mohammad Siraj also claimed 1 wicket by spending 10 runs in 2 overs. Also, Glenn Maxwell also took 1 wicket with 3 runs in 1 over.

RCB’s play-off hopes remain intact
RCB have revived their play-off hopes with a win against Rajasthan Royals. Had RCB lost this match, the team would have been out of the play-off race. After this victory, the team has 12 points in 12 matches. Now the team can enter the play-offs by winning the next two matches.
