India and Australia are all set for the final match of the World Test Championship. The match will be played at the Kennington Oval Stadium in England from June 7 to 11. Everyone expects this match between the two teams to be exciting. As the captain, Rohit Sharma will lead the Indian team in the final of the ICC tournament for the first time. Earlier, Indian team’s senior batsman and former captain Virat Kohli has praised him in an interview.

Virat and Rohit are considered good friends on and off the field. They always seem to speak respectfully of each other. In an interview with ICC, Virat said about Rohit,

“When I saw Rohit Sharma batting for the first time, I understood why he has such a buzz around him and why he is held in such high regard. He has a bit more time than other batsmen. That’s what makes him stand out from the rest.”

“We all know what he has done in limited overs cricket. At the same time, he is always eager to excel in Test cricket. Batting as an opener is never easy. However, he has always excelled in this difficult task.”

Rohit has been playing for the Indian team since 2007. He has performed consistently in ODI and T20 cricket and has also shown his quality in Test cricket. Rohit will lead the Indian team in the finals of the ICC tournament for the first time. By winning this match, he can become the third captain to win the ICC trophy for India after Kapil Dev and MS Dhoni.
