Speaking further, Warner said, “We just needed a good start and any one of the batsmen had to hold on. In the middle overs, we could not even change the strike. We had to hit weak balls, you can’t leave them.”

Heavy defeat of Delhi
In this match, CSK won the toss and scored 167 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Chasing this challenge, the Delhi team could only score 140 runs in 20 overs losing 8 wickets. So CSK won this match by 27 runs. Jadeja was honored with the Man of the Match award for his all-round performance in this match.

With this victory, Chennai Super Kings secured the second position in the points table by securing 15 points.
