Arjun Tendulkar was in the camp of Mumbai Indians in IPL 2021 and 2022. But he was benched for both seasons. Even before IPL 2023, Arjun is practicing in the nets. Reporters asked Rohit Sharma about his IPL debut. After Rohit’s answer to this question, it was hinted that Arjun’s debut is likely. Rohit said, “Good question. There is hope.”

Mumbai head coach Mark Boucher was also present with Rohit on this occasion. Commenting on Arju’s debut, Boucher said, “Arjun has impressed many with his bowling. If he is ready, surely his name will be considered for team selection.” At this time it was also reported that Arjun was injured and currently he is recovering from it.

“Arjun is still recovering from the injury. He’s going to practice tonight. Played well since last 6 months. He shone especially in bowling. So we can ask Arjun’s name while choosing the team. It will be beneficial for us,” added Boucher.

Rohit is Mumbai’s regular captain, but he may get a rest in some IPL matches this year. On this, Boucher said, “India wants to play the World Cup at the end of the year. I want to rest Rohit, he will be in form in any case. But the team hopes he won’t rest. We will look at the situation and take the right decision.” According to media reports, if Rohit withdraws from some matches citing workload, Suryakumar Yadav may lead the team.
