Who after KL Rahul? Harbhajan Singh suggested the name of India’s new vice-captain

Ravindra Jadeja missed the T20 World Cup last year due to a knee injury. It took nearly five months for Jadeja to recover from the injury. But his comeback was amazing. Jadeja is one of the legendary all-rounders of the Indian team. Veteran Harbhajan Singh feels that given his experience in international cricket, he should be made the team’s vice-captain.

Indian team’s veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh has made a great contribution to the team. Harbhanaj has taken 417 wickets in 103 Test matches for India. He has 269 and 25 wickets respectively in ODI and T20 international cricket. Harbhajan is currently out of the team and is always vocal about cricket. After failing in the first two Tests against Australia, KL Rahul was stripped of the vice-captaincy of the Indian team. According to Harbhajan, Ravindra Jadeja can be appointed as India’s new Test vice-captain. Harbhanaj feels that if Jadeja is given the vice-captaincy, he will take his role more seriously.

Harbhajan Singh said on his YouTube channel, “The Indian team currently does not have a vice-captain. Who will be the new vice-captain? I think a player should be captain or vice-captain, who should definitely stay in the playing eleven. Whether the vote match is in India or abroad. I think Ravindra Jadeja is such a player. Jadeja should be given the vice-captaincy of the new team. He is at the top right now due to his batting and bowling performances.”

“I don’t think there is a better all-rounder in the world than Jadeja. Ben Stokes is in that league. He is also a match winning player. His batting is amazing. It feels like he can make a big knock in every match,” Harbhanaj added.

Meanwhile, Jadeja suffered an injury during the Asia Cup 2022 and left the tournament halfway through. After August 2022, Jedja saw an international appearance in February 2023 due to injury. Before his comeback, Jedaj played one first-class match for Saurashtra. Jadeja made his comeback to international cricket in the first Test against Australia in Nagpur. He took 5 wickets in the first innings and 2 wickets in the second innings. Then in the Delhi Test, Jadeja took 3 wickets in the first innings and 7 wickets in the second innings.
