Speaking further, Ganguly said, “Shaw is a young player. He can conquer the world. Rishabh Pant is second. I want to see how Rituraj Gaikwad is performing. In my opinion, it’s three batsmen.” Former Indian captain Ganguly was known for giving opportunities to young players during his time.
He said that fans will come to see Umran Malik in IPL. “If Umran Malik is fit, he has the pace to keep the fans happy,” he added. Ganguly struggled to choose a fifth name and ended up with Shubman Gill.
Ganguly, popularly known as ‘Dada’, said, “Yes, the name crossed my mind. However, according to me my fifth player would be Shubman Gill. Thus Prithvi Shaw, Rishabh Pant, Surya top the list. Additionally there are Rituraj Gaikwad, Umran Malik and Shubman Gill.”
