Who is the new captain of Hyderabad? He made the team two times champion while leading

Sunrisers Hyderabad, who have won the Indian Premier League i.e. IPL trophy once, have announced their captain for the upcoming season. Adem Markram has been handed the captaincy of Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2023. The names of Aiden Markram, Mayank Agarwal and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were discussed for the captaincy of the Hyderabad team. But Markram won by beating the other two. The South African veteran has got the opportunity to lead the Hyderabad team as he has enough experience as a captain.

The Sunrisers Hydrabad franchise has seen more preference for foreign captains in the past few years. The lack of a homegrown option for the captaincy has seen the franchise forced to take such a decision. In 2016, under the leadership of Australian legend David Warner, the Hyderabad team won the IPL title. After that, New Zealand legend Kane Williamson (Kane Williamson) led the team until last season. This responsibility has been entrusted to Aiden Markram in the upcoming season. In the recently concluded SA20 league, the Sunrisers Eastern Cape team led by Markerman won. Marker has also won the Under-19 World Cup under his leadership. His performance in terms of leadership has been satisfactory and will be watched by all in the upcoming IPL season.

Markram’s IPL career
Markram is currently 28 years old and after winning the Under-19 World Cup for South Africa, he got his chance in the senior team. He has played 20 matches in the IPL so far, scoring 527 runs. Meanwhile, the average is over 40, while the strike rate is 134. The Hyderabad franchise spent Rs 2 crore 60 lakh to buy Markerman in the IPL mega auction held last year. Coming to Markerman’s international T20 career, he has played 31 matches for South Africa so far. He scored 879 runs at an average of 38.22 and a strike rate of 147.73. Markram can excel in bowling as well as batting. He has one wicket in IIL and seven wickets in International T20. This is Markerman’s second IPL team. Earlier he represented Punjab Kings.
